STS099-706-003
June 20, 2011
The 200 ft.-long (60 meters) mast supporting the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) juts into space from the Space Shuttle Endeavour (out of frame at top). The giant structure was deployed on February 12 and the antennae on it quickly went to work mapping parts of Earth. The outboard antenna can be seen near bottom right.
