Astronaut James D. Halsell, mission commander, dons the communications head gear portion of a training version of the shuttle pressure, launch and entry garment in Suit Room B in the Systems Integration Facility at the Johnson Space Center (JSC). Minutes later Halsell and his six STS-101 crewmates were in the Crew Compartment Trainer (CCT-2) to rehearse shuttle vertical-mode emergency egress procedures.
