Dr. Paul Stoner, one of the flight surgeons for the STS-101 mission, studies data in Houston while a crew of six astronauts and a cosmonaut await a shuttle launch in a spacecraft several hundred miles away in Florida. This launch attempt, like two earlier STS-101 tries, was soon scrubbed and flight controllers gathered to determine a new launch date.
