Astronaut Jeffrey N. Williams, mission specialist, checks the U.S.-built crane which had been installed on the International Space Station by the STS-96 crew last year. Astronauts Williams and James S. Voss participated in a 6-hour, 44-minute space walk to accomplish a list of external tasks on the station before the crew did lengthy detail work on the interior later in the mission.
