Five astronauts and a Russian cosmonaut share space on the flight deck of the Space Shuttle Discovery following that spacecraft's separation from the International Space Station (ISS). Cosmonaut Sergei K. Krikalev, far left, joins astronaut William M. (Bill) Shepherd (bottom center) and cosmonaut Yuri P. Gidzenko (out of frame) on the return trip after several months aboard the ISS outpost. The other STS-102 crew members are (beginning second left) astronauts James M. Kelly, pilot; and Andrew S.W. Thomas, and Paul W. Richards, both mission specialists; along with astronaut James D. Wetherbee, commander.
