This image, photographed from the Space Shuttle Endeavour during the STS-108 mission in December 2001, shows several of the northwestern islands in the Cape Verde chain in the North Atlantic Ocean, some 500 miles from the coast of Senegal, Africa. From the upper left to lower right (southeast to northwest) are Sao Nicolau, Razo, Branco, Santa Luzia, Sao Vicente and Santo Antao. Center point coordinates are 17.0 degrees north latitude and 25.0 degrees west longitude.
