European Space Agency astronaut Thomas Reiter, STS-116 mission specialist, speaks to a crowd of well-wishers at the STS-116 crew return ceremony on the afternoon of Dec. 23 at Ellington Field. Reiter didn't launch with the STS-116 crew, as he had already been onboard the International Space Station for several months when Discovery arrived to link up with it on Dec. 11. Reiter and all six of his crewmates briefly addressed the crowd.
