Recognizing a Cyberbully

April 18, 2012
An artist's representation of a child viewing her table and clearly depressed by the cyberbullying she is experiencing from several individuals. The demographics of perpetrators and potential victims of cyberbullying are largely uncharacterized by social researchers, presenting a difficult challenge for intervention efforts. The National Science Foundation (NSF) recognizes the problem of cyberbullying and is supporting research on its causes and effects. Research in progress may be helpful in identifying who is most vulnerable. This image accompanied NSF press release "Recognizing a Cyberbully."
