A National Science Foundation (NSF) report (NSF 12-317) released in May 2012, details substantial growth in graduate enrollment in science and engineering (S&E) in the past decade, with slowing growth found in recent years. Approximately 632,700 graduate students were enrolled in science, engineering and health programs in the U.S. as of fall 2010.
