JSC2004-E-29676 (12 July 2004) --- Biomedical Engineer Tara Ruttley participates in a two-hour underwater extravehicular activity (EVA) along with her NEEMO-6 crewmates. The crew’s first objective was a two-hour underwater EVA to a site about 900 feet from the Aquarius habitat off the Florida Keys to survey the area for future coral science operations. The crew is spending 10 days, July 12-21, 2004, field-testing equipment and technology for the International Space Station (ISS) as part of the NASA Extreme Environment Mission Operations (NEEMO) project.
