JSC2004-E-45228 (11 October 2004) --- The NEEMO-7 crewmembers pose for a photo prior to splashdown to begin their mission for the NASA Extreme Environment Mission Operations (NEEMO) project aboard the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Aquarius Underwater Laboratory, located off the coast of Key Largo, Florida. From the left are astronaut/aquanauts Catherine G. (Cady) Coleman and Michael R. Barratt, both mission specialist; Dr. Craig McKinley of the Centre for Minimal Access Surgery at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, Ontario; and astronaut/aquanaut Robert B. Thirsk, commander representing the Canadian Space Agency. The crew is spending 10 days, October 11-20, on an undersea mission aboard the underwater laboratory.
