JSC2007-E-41642 (6 Aug. 2007) --- Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency's (JAXA) astronaut/aquanaut Satoshi Furukawa participates in an undersea session of extravehicular activity (EVA) for the 13th NASA Extreme Environment Mission Operations (NEEMO) mission. The crew is spending 10 days, Aug. 6-15, on an undersea mission aboard the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Aquarius Underwater Laboratory, which is operated by the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and located off the coast of Key Largo, Florida.
