INTEGRAL/IBIS 7-year map of the Galactic Bulge
January 8, 2013
This image shows a map of the Galactic Bulge region, reconstructed from data collected over seven years, from 2003 to 2010, with IBIS/ISGRI on board INTEGRAL, and covering the 17-60 keV energy band.
See "related images" in the right-hand menu for the same image, but with the brightness contours of the Galaxy's infrared emission at 4.9 micron overlaid, which reveals the Galaxy's bulge/disc structure.
