Jupiters Auroral Ring and Polar Haze

This image shows the Jovian aurorae , in particular the northern ring (here shown in yellow/orange) as well as the "polar haze" (blue). The visibility of the various features has been enhanced by the use of false-colours. The moon Io is visible to the left.
