Credit: NASA/Goddard Conceptual Image Lab The Interstellar Boundary Explorer (IBEX) mission science objective is to discover the nature of the interactions between the solar wind and the interstellar medium at the edge of our solar system. Roughly the size of a card table, the Interstellar Boundary Explorer is the latest in NASA's series of low-cost, rapidly developed Small Explorers spacecraft.
