Delta II Solid Rocket Motors

At NASA’s Space Launch Complex-2 at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, technicians assist as a crane is used to position a solid rocket motor for attachment to the United Launch Alliance Delta II rocket. The Delta II will carry NASA’s National Polar-orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System Preparatory Project (NPP) satellite into space.
