Low-mass X-ray Binary RX J173143.6-165736
January 25, 2013
Extraordinarily bright, low-mass X-ray binaries (LMXB) are observed in the XMM-Newton slew survey with sufficient sensitivity to record a detailed spectrum. This is an example of such a spectrum for the LMXB RX J173143.6-165736 (inset).
