Tropical Cyclone Ebula (09S) East of Rodrigues Island, Indian Ocean

Packing sustained winds of 75 miles (120 km) per hour, with gusts of up to 92 miles (147 km) per hour, Tropical Cyclone Ebula was moving south-southwestward in the Indian Ocean on January 10, 2003. Ebula was expected to track to the south over the following day. These true-color images of Tropical Cyclone Ebula were captured by Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) flying aboard the Aqua and Terra satellites.
