Scanning electron microscope image of a Tradescantia virginiana leaf peel. You ca peel away cuticle and some of the epidermal layer, to expose the mesophyll layer below. This is an image of the leaf peel boundary, showing epidermal layer with stomate and next mesophyll layer down.
