Great Lakes Snow
March 11, 2013
As the storm that hit the midwest and mid Atlantic hard over the last few days continues to pound the New England coastline, a clear day over the Great Lakes region shows the extent of snowfall. The snow impacting New England will finally diminish this evening as the storm moves eastward away from the coast. This image was taken by the NASA/NOAA Suomi NPP satellite's VIIRS instrument around 1840Z on March 8, 2013.
