4Plasmadermata Dictysome
March 21, 2013
High magnification of "3Plasmadermata/Dicytsome" image, which is a thin section of Coleus blumei shoot apex. Plasmadermata and dictysome(golgi) are present in this image. Plasmadermata are channels(or canals) that provide cytoplasmic continuity with adjacent cells. The plasmadermata center is occupied by a desmotubule, which is continuous with the endoplasmic reticulum. The plasmadermata is part of the transport system between cells. Dictysome is another term for golgi, which is a structure involved in protein transport in the cytoplasm of the cell.
