Embryonic Brain 80428

March 22, 2013
Transmission electron microscope image of a thin section cut through the developing brain tissue (telencephalic hemisphere) of an 11.5 day mouse embryo. This low magnification image shows an example of the early vascularization of the cerebral cortex: a capillary that has perforated the surface of the telencephalon.
