Children participate in NanoDays

October 29, 2013
Children at the Sciencenter in Ithaca, N.Y., examine a model of a carbon nanotube (an example of a new nano material) during NanoDays, a nationwide festival of educational programs about nanoscale science and engineering and its potential impact on the future. The Sciencenter is a sub-awardee of the Nanoscale Informal Science Education Network (NISE Network). The NISE Network organizes NanoDays events, which take place at more than 200 science and children's museums, research centers and universities across the country from Puerto Rice to Hawaii. The NISE Network is supported by the National Science Foundation (grants DRL 05-32536 and DRL 09-40143). (Date of Image: September 2010) Credit: Gary Hodges for the NISE Network
