(12 Sept. 2010) --- An unpiloted ISS Progress resupply vehicle approaches the International Space Station, bringing about 2 ½ tons of food, fuel, oxygen, propellant and supplies for the Expedition 24 crew members aboard the station. Progress 39 successfully docked to the aft port of the Zvezda Service Module at 7:58 a.m. (EDT) on Sept. 12, 2010. The docking was executed flawlessly by the Kurs automated rendezvous system. The blackness of space and Earth's horizon provide the backdrop for the scene.
