OCO-2 Gets Ready for a Lift

July 7, 2014
NASA's Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2, or OCO-2, was connected to a 20-ton crane at a mobile service tower at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California on June 14. The crane lifted the observatory into a clean room at the top of the tower, where it will be mated with the United Launch Alliance Delta II rocket. The rocket is inside the tower.
