This Mars Global Surveyor (MGS) Mars Orbiter Camera (MOC) image shows a small segment of a martian valley located near 0.5Â°N, 246.4Â°W. The valley floor is covered by a plethora of large, windblown ripples. The image covers an area approximately 3 km (1.9 mi) across and is illuminated by sunlight from the upper left.
