According to “Jordan Times”, Royal Jordanian (RJ) has won the Airline Strategy Award in the technology category at the sixth annual Airline Strategy Awards. The award was presented to RJ President/CEO Samer Majali during a gala dinner held in London on Sunday. The RJ official described the award as a prestigious and high-status evaluation of international airlines, adding that RJ is the first Arab and Middle Eastern airline to win this honor. The award was granted by a panel of judges after a comprehensive assessment of airlines worldwide in the following categories: Executive leadership, regional and low-cost leadership, finance, marketing, operations and technology. Majali added that RJ was nominated in recognition of its major overall transformation from an unprofitable carrier to a lucrative commercial enterprise through the deployment of modern technological solutions.
