First Horizon National Corp. Adds FedEx's Robert B. Carter to Board

MEMPHIS, Tenn., July 18, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Robert B. Carter, executive vice president of FedEx Information Services and chief information officer of FedEx Corp., has been elected to the board of First Horizon National Corp. (NYSE:FHN). Carter, who is also a member of FedEx's executive committee, will also be included in the class of directors to be voted on by shareholders at First Horizon's annual meeting in April 2008.

FedEx is a provider of transportation, e-commerce and business services. Carter joined FedEx as a managing director in systems development in April 1993. He is also a director of Saks Inc., a retailer operating luxury, specialty and traditional department stores.
