Posted on: Monday, 23 July 2007, 06:13 CDT

Abanco, LLC's Mobile Data Technology (MDT) In-Flight handheld devices have been selected to support Skybus Airline's in-flight food, beverage and duty free sales. With Abanco MDT, Skybus will offer passengers the option of utilizing credit cards to make purchases from the wide variety of offerings on Skybus flights. In addition, Abanco MDT will provide Skybus comprehensive real-time backend reporting on in-flight inventory pre and post-flight.

Abanco's patent-pending MDT In-Flight solution enables airlines to make a completely new level of in-flight sales and inventory control possible and practical. Abanco MDT supplies the complete solution -- from consulting expertise to technology framework -- to allow Skybus to seamlessly manage in-flight inventory, sales, credit card acceptance and reporting via fight attendant friendly handheld devices. The multi-year contract will allow Skybus to develop North America's most unique in-flight product offerings and sales experience.

"Abanco MDT is in a unique position to help airlines offer flawless in-flight profit centers and options for passengers," said Bill Abraham, Abanco, LLC's Vice President of Sales. "By opening up the opportunity for proven profits by offering products while in-flight, Skybus will set a precedent for the possibilities of additional profits in-flight. We are delighted that Skybus has chosen us to assist them in their efforts to provide complete passenger satisfaction and look forward to a long and successful partnership together."

"Abanco's Mobile Data Technology is a critical element of our in-flight sales program," said Chase Cunningham, director of ancillary sales for Skybus. "It allows us to offer our passengers the convenience of paying by credit card while allowing us to accurately track in-flight sales and manage our inventory. We're breaking new ground in this area, and Abanco's MDT system is playing a major role."

Currently Skybus is accepting cash and all major credit cards on 100% of daily flights.
