RRTA Performs Needed Service
TO THE EDITOR:
To get more people downtown to go to Central Market, Red Rose Transit Authority should keep its buses like Elizabethtown Bus No. 18, the Lititz bus and buses from other towns. Many older people on fixed incomes who can’t drive anymore need these services. Riding RRTA with a free transfer card would be extremely helpful to these folks.
If RRTA can afford a trolley for about $14.1 million to operate on a 2.6 mile route – in 10-minute intervals – in a north and south loop along Queen and Prince Streets, from the Amtrak station to Southern Market and Vine Street, it certainly can afford the Red Rose Transit No. 18 to Elizabethtown and buses to Lititz and other towns.
