Skopje, 26 July: All electricity production capacities of company Macedonian Power Plants (ELEM) are in great shape, operating in compliance with the orders of the dispatcher centre and the needs of the domestic energy system, reads ELEM press release.

Following Tuesday’s [24 July] failure of the electric power system, all hydro power plants and three blocks of REK [mining energy company] “Bitola” were successively put into operation.

Taking into account that the failure occurred at a time when all three blocks operated with maximum power, the procedure for their re- igniting lasts for eight hours each. However, due to the hard work of the company expert teams, all three blocks were put into operation in less than 22 hours, reads the press release.
