ASHGABAT. July 27 (Interfax) – Tashkent backs the construction of a Turkmen-Chinese gas pipeline which will go through the Uzbek territory, Uzbek Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov said at a meeting with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedow in Ashgabat.
“Work to lay the pipeline has gone at full drive in Uzbekistan,” Norov said.
Turkmen-Uzbek talks at a governmental level were also held in the extended format.
