SPENDING watchdogs last night revealed they are investigating the collapse of GNER’s East Coast rail franchise.
The National Audit Office (NAO) is probing the 2005 contract, which was torn up in December and replaced with a temporary deal after the company said it could not pay the pounds 1.3bn premium.
