TTA Plans Schedule Changes

Aug. 3–The schedules of some buses run by the Triangle Transit Authority will change Monday, the agency announced Thursday.
Buses on evening routes will no longer stop at the TTA transfer center in Research Triangle Park. Service is being replaced by:
–Durham to Raleigh-Durham International Airport to Raleigh evening bus service.
–Chapel Hill to RDU to Raleigh evening bus service.
–Durham to Chapel Hill evening bus service.
Other changes include:
–Night airport shuttle service on Route 747 will be replaced by new nighttime service of Durham to RDU to Raleigh and Chapel Hill to RDU to Raleigh. Monday-Friday and Saturday daytime service on Shuttle 747 will not be affected.
–Route 105 service from downtown Raleigh and N.C. State University to Research Triangle park will also change. The “Park and Ride” lot at the State Fairgrounds will be replaced by the Park and Ride lot on District Road.
–Route 107 will be converted to Route 105, eliminating service to Corporate Center Drive and some segments of Page Road and Slater Road in the Imperial Center area.
–The TTA Express stop between Durham and Raleigh will move from Main Street to Morgan Street at the DATA terminal.
–Route 305 from Apex/Cary to NCSU and downtown Raleigh will have stops added along Edinburgh and Old Raleigh Road in Apex to Lake Pine Plaza.
TTA General Manager David King said in a news release that the changes, especially the change in night service, will help make the routes more efficient and effective.
