SkyWorks Capital Announces Formation of SkyWorks Capital Asia Ltd. Joint Venture

SkyWorks Capital, an aviation advisory and investment banking firm, today announced the formation of a joint venture to be named SkyWorks Capital Asia Ltd. with Swire Pacific Ltd. and Air China Development Corp. (Hong Kong) Ltd., a subsidiary of Air China Ltd. SkyWorks Capital Asia Ltd. will be headquartered in Hong Kong and will provide a range of financial advisory services to aviation industry participants throughout the Asia Pacific region including airlines, banks, lessors and investors. Each partner will assume one-third ownership.

Philip Chen, Deputy Chairman of Cathay Pacific Airways and Chairman of John Swire & Sons (China) Ltd., has been named Non-executive Chairman of SkyWorks Capital Asia Ltd. and Ian McBain, who also serves as a Managing Director of SkyWorks Capital, has been named Chief Executive Officer.
