Five Location Metal Service Center Implements Verticent ERP Solution
Verticent, Inc., a leading developer of enterprise software for metal service centers and other targeted industries, announced today that Industrial Metal Supply Co. (http://www.industrialmetalsupply.com) has successfully completed a three week pilot implementation of the Verticent ERP for Metals Solution and will roll out Verticent to each of its five western United States Metal Service Center locations.
Eric Steinhauer, President of Industrial Metal Supply (IMS) commented: "We are very excited to join the Verticent customer family. Much like Verticent, we are growing in our target markets and we require a solid platform to foster that growth. The Verticent ERP solution provides us with the necessary metal service center software functionality to meet our business requirements."
Diana Rising, Quality Manager of Industrial Metal Supply added: "Our focus is to save our customer's time. To do this we must offer them a terrific experience when they deal with IMS. The Verticent ERP implementation pilot proved that the product not only fit our internal needs, but will enable us to greatly increase our operational efficiencies and allow us to meet our goal of saving more time for our customers," she added. "Verticent's solution was the only one that met all our requirements; consequently, it will give us the opportunity for continued improvement throughout every step of our customer experience from order entry through processing and delivery."
Scott Galloway, President of Verticent stated: "This is another strategic win for everyone here at Verticent. While often times, we focus on product and technology, in the case of our successful pilot implementation with IMS, much of the credit goes to the people. Both the Verticent employees and IMS employees worked very closely to ensure successful completion of the implementation. The implementation practices that are in place were followed quite well and the outcome was a thorough review of the entire business process from lead capture through month-end close in the General Ledger."
Scott Cranford, Director of Sales at Verticent added: "With successful 'go-lives' at CRP Steel and VSMPO, and the addition of important new customers spanning the United States like Peachtree Metals on the east coast and IMS on the west coast continues the market momentum for Verticent. IMS joins a vibrant United States customer community and more precisely, a strong and collaborative Verticent customer community in the Western USA. Like most metal service centers, the IMS metal service center software evaluation considered five key areas; those being software functionality, product technology, company background, implementation and custom programming services, and financial investment. Throughout their evaluation, Verticent consistently received the highest ranking in each area as compared with the other vendor candidates that IMS considered. We are truly honored to add Industrial Metal Supply to our customer family."
