BRIEF: One Killed in McIntosh Accident

Aug. 17–A Fosston, Minn., woman was killed Thursday afternoon trying to cross U.S. Highway 2 in her car in nearby McIntosh.

Pamela Simonson, 54, was crossing Highway 2 at Cleveland Avenue in McIntosh when her vehicle, a 2001 Ford Taurus, was struck by a 2001 Chevrolet 9000 truck headed west on Highway 2, according to an accident report by the Minnesota State Patrol.

The driver of the heavy-duty pickup, Thomas J. Baune, 43, of Champlin, Minn., suffered minor injuries, according to the State Patrol.
