Portland Office of Transportation’s Annual Transport Class Starts Next Month
The Portland Office of Transportation will sponsor a class for transportation and traffic activists beginning next month at Portland State University.
The class, to be held Thursdays Sept. 27 through Dec. 6 and taught by Rick Gustafson, a former Metro executive officer, will show students how to get involved in Portland transportation as a volunteer, an activist or a professional.
Students will work with decision- and policymakers, planners, scholars and engineers on topics such as traffic management techniques, regional planning and alternative transport modes.
Tuition is $168.50 for undergraduate credit and $319.50 for graduate credit, and scholarships are available to Portland residents until Sept. 14.
