Ups and Downs of St. Louis Service
* Feb. 9, 2006: Regional carrier Trans State Airlines of St. Louis announces plans to drop AmericanConnection turboprop service effective June 7.
* June 8, 2006: Tennessee-based RegionsAir picks up the AmericanConnection contract with American Airlines.
* March 3, 2007: RegionsAir voluntarily suspends flights after the Federal Aviation Administration raises questions about crew- training procedures, but resumes service the next day. Flights again suspended March 8.
The new flights
* Two roundtrips daily, beginning Nov. 4, on 50-passenger ERJ- 145 regional jets to Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.
* Springfield-to-St. Louis flights depart at 7 a.m. with a 7:40 a.m. arrival and at 2:20 p.m. with a 3 p.m. arrival.
* St. Louis-to-Springfield flights depart at 1:15 p.m. with a 1:55 p.m. arrival and at 8 p.m. with an 8:40 p.m. arrival.
* Fares have not been announced, but tickets are scheduled to be loaded into the American Airlines system Sunday.
