WHAT: Flag-lowering ceremony by APA leadership in honor of the American Airlines crewmembers and many others lost in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

WHEN: Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at precisely 7:46 a.m. Central Daylight Time–American Airlines Flight #11 struck the north tower of the World Trade Center at 8:46 a.m. EDT on September 11, 2001, marking the start of the attacks.
WHY: APA is committed to honoring the memory of everyone lost on 9/11, including five American Airlines pilots and 13 American Airlines flight attendants.
Founded in 1963, APA is headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. There are currently 2,570 American Airlines pilots on furlough. The furloughs began shortly after the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.
