Kohl's Corporation (NYSE: KSS) and Food Network will debut the exclusive Food Network-branded kitchenware collection in stores on September 12.
"The Food Network line encompasses the innovation, convenience and value consumers associate with Kohl's and our world-class exclusive and national brands," said Kevin Mansell, president of Kohl's Corporation. "The brand caters to today's busy shoppers who seek high-quality, solution-oriented products for everything from a simple meal to an elaborate dinner party."
The product assortment brings chef-quality items to the home cook in an approachable, fun way. The line includes cookware, bakeware, dinnerware and pantryware in addition to utensils, cutlery, textiles and kitchen gadgets. At launch, regular prices for Food Network-branded products will range from $399.99 for a 10-pc. tri ply stainless steel cookware set to less than $10 for select gadgets and individual storage pieces.
"With the launch of this collection, Food Network and Kohl's celebrate a passion for making great food fun and easy," said Sergei Kuharsky, general manager, Food Network. "We're excited to bring the Food Network brand into the homes and kitchens of Food Network viewers with products that enhance the overall cooking and entertaining experience."
Food Network experts lent their insights to the development of the line, helping ensure products were high-quality, functional and innovative. Consumer-friendly packaging attributes such as "What the Pros Know" and "Why We Love It" point out unique product features and tips from Food Network Kitchen experts. Many products also include step-by-step instructions and a recipe card featuring a dessert, entrée, beverage or appetizer created by the chefs in the Food Network Kitchens.
"In the Food Network Kitchens, we're always inventing new ways to make cooking smart, engaging and easy," said Food Network Kitchen Expert Mory Thomas. "By offering exclusive tips and recipes with the Food Network products, we're inviting Food Network fans and Kohl's customers into our world and inspiring them with new ideas."
Products will be incorporated into their respective categories within Kohl's housewares department, where the iconic Food Network colors and logo and enlarged product images will be prominently displayed. Certain categories of the Food Network collection, such as tableware, will be set apart using new and enhanced fixtures, such as stainless steel and wire racks, creating a fun, inviting kitchen-like environment.
The brand launch will be supported with a fully-integrated marketing campaign, including advertising, promotions, direct mail and a new Kohls.com microsite.
