ParacleteXP SkyVenture, LLC Announces Completion of World’s Largest Vertical Wind Tunnel

RAEFORD, N.C., Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Workers and guests got an exciting show Wednesday, September 12 while watching Tim D'Annunzio, owner and president of ParacleteXP SkyVenture, be the first to "fly" in his brand new vertical-wind tunnel. The tunnel, 16.5 feet in diameter, is the largest, most powerful vertical-wind tunnel built to date. Mustering over 2100 horsepower, with wind speeds over 170 mph it is the ultimate freefall simulator. Slated for a grand opening later this fall, the first test run was a great success. With the capacity to fly up to eight people at the same time, sky divers and those who wish to just try it will be able to train no matter what the weather. Located in Raeford, NC, ParacleteXP SkyVenture is just minutes from the Raeford Drop Zone, and Ft. Bragg -- home of the famous Golden Knights Army Parachute Team.

Sky diving, born at Ft. Bragg by Special Forces as a means of deployment, has grown into a world-wide popular extreme sport. Teams from all over the world who come to Raeford to hone their skills can now practice freefall moves in an indoor facility, rain or shine, night or day. "Anyone can do it!" says Tim D'Annunzio. "The only qualification you need to experience the thrilling sensation of freefall is to want to do it. It's safe, fun and absolutely exhilarating." Tim, a former Golden Knight himself, hopes that children and adults alike from all walks of life will come and experience the freedom of flight in freefall.

Surrounded by 56 acres of prime commercial property on Highway 401, ParacleteXP SkyVenture will be the anchor for an upscale shopping center, eateries, and hotel future development. For more information go to
