Posted on: Monday, 17 September 2007, 09:00 CDT

SH&E, the world leaders in aviation expertise, announced today that Vice President Christina Cassotis will now head the firm's Airport Services practice. Ms. Cassotis, who joined the firm in 1998, will take over an expanded practice area that is a primary component of the 100-person consulting firm.

In the past decade SH&E's Airport Services practice has grown significantly beyond its historic base in forecasting and air service marketing to provide a wide range of airport-focused services, including

Financial consulting

Concession planning

Cargo assessments and planning

Revenue maximization programs

Gate utilization studies

Airport safety and security

Facility planning and master-planning support

The practice is also active in state aviation system studies, having performed a number of these in recent years.

"We are delighted to have Christina take the helm at our Airport practice," said President and COO Deborah Meehan. "Her work with clients large and small, her dedication to their objectives, and her leadership in the firm are all attributes that have led her to this key role for us as we continue to grow and move forward. I'm very pleased to have her head the practice, as this allows me to have more time to run the broader aspects of SH&E."

Ms. Cassotis has been active in many areas of the firm's airport work and is extremely well known in the airport management community. Her clients span the country, while her engagements encompass multi-year contracts as well as specific, short-duration efforts.

Prior to SH&E Ms. Cassotis held a management role at the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport). Ms. Cassotis holds a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts.
