Mexicana Airlines and Flight Attendants Union Reach Agreement
September 17, 2007
Mexicana Airlines and the Flight Attendants Union have reached a consensus on a salary increase to be included in the airline’s 2007-2008 collective labor agreement.
In an effort to maintain stable working conditions for its employees, Mexicana agreed to a salary increase of 5.03%, equivalent to the inflation rate plus one percentage point.
The airline is currently undergoing a restructuring process in a bid to reduce operating costs and improve the financial viability of the company. During the last 2006-2007 salary revision, no increase was granted.
