TrendSetter Receives Solar Water Heating Pilot Program Rebate Approval for First Commercial Project in California

TrendSetter Solar Products (Pink Sheets:TSSP) today announced the Company has received approval for the first rebate to be issued for a commercial project through the Solar Water Heating Pilot Program in the State of California.
TrendSetter Solar Products, Inc. has signed contracts to supply solar hot water systems to a one hundred forty-nine unit, eleven building, apartment building complex under private ownership in San Diego. The value of this equipment only contract is $147,800 and will entitle the owner to approximately $31,500 in rebates and approximately $63,000 in Federal Tax Credits after installation costs are added of approximately $95,000.
TrendSetter CEO Dirk Atkinson stated, "This is a landmark first for TrendSetter. Chuck Maas and Dan Hendrickson, the sales team in San Diego, worked diligently with the California Center for Sustainable Energy to gain approval for this project. The California Solar Initiative (CSI) has authorized $1,500,000 for the Solar Water Heating Pilot Program (SWHPP) which is intended to set the guidelines for future benefits to California residents and businesses who wish to add solar water heating to their buildings. The pilot program currently is providing incentives to business and customers who install qualifying solar water heating systems in San Diego, California. The California Center for Sustainable Energy (CCSE) is administering the program.
