UK car company Vauxhall's Corsa SRi model is now available with a petrol and a diesel engine.
Introduced into Continental markets earlier in the year as the Opel Corsa GSi, the new SRi moniker revives Vauxhall's sporting breed of Corsa after a two-year absence from showrooms.
The Corsa SRi is offered with the choice of two powertrains, a 150 hp 1.6-liter turbo and a 1.7-liter 125 hp CDTi diesel unit.
Based on the unit used in the VXR, the 1.6-liter petrol allows a 0-60 mph sprint of 7.6 seconds and a top speed of 130 mph. The CDTi diesel churns out 58.9 mpg on the combined cycle over the petrol unit's 35.8 mpg and acceleration to 60 mph is achieved in 9.3 seconds with a top speed of 121 mph.
