South African Airways Appoints Kristian C. Anderson As Director, Sales Development - National Accounts

South African Airways (SAA), South Africa's flagship airline and the continent's most awarded carrier, has announced the appointment of Kristian C. Anderson as director, sales development - national accounts, effective October 1st. Anderson, who has more than 19 years experience in the airline industry, will be based at SAA's North American headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and will report to Todd Neuman, vice president, sales - North America.
As director of sales development, Anderson will be responsible for strategic business development of SAA's national travel agency and corporate accounts in the U.S. and Canada. He will also be the airline's primary North America liaison with Star Alliance partners based in the U.S.
"Kristian's proven experience in developing business strategies to manage large-scale travel agency and corporate travel programs will add great value to SAA, and will help to grow the airline's position in the corporate marketplace in North America," said Neuman.
Prior to joining South African Airways, Anderson served as director, national sales in the U.S. division for Aeromexico, and previously held sales positions with Korean Airlines and Continental Airlines.
