AVIATION WEEK Announces 2007 MRO Europe Award Winners

October 2, 2007

NEW YORK, Oct. 2 /PRNewswire/ — AVIATION WEEK, the largest multimedia information and services provider to the global aviation, aerospace and defense industries, today announced that Fokker Services and Monarch Aircraft Engineering are winners of two awards for excellence in Europe’s maintenance, repair & overhaul (MRO) industry. The winners will be honored during AVIATION WEEK’s MRO 2007 Europe Conference & Exhibition in Milan, Italy, Nov. 7-8, 2007. Now in its tenth year, MRO Europe brings together nearly 2,000 industry professionals and government executives to explore the industry’s future through a series of management-level discussions.

Fokker Services will receive the 2007 Best European Independent MRO Operation award, as selected by editors at Overhaul & Maintenance (O&M). The award honors Fokker Services’ success in implementing long-term, competitive support agreements and innovative commitment to the aircraft it services. The award recognizes Monarch’s success in upgrading engines via Pratt & Whitney technologies, expanding in- house engine capabilities and implementing new software for efficiencies. With 35 years of experience in the aircraft maintenance industry, Monarch provides comprehensive, innovative service at its eight permanent line stations in the U.K. and Spain, as well as its three seasonal line stations in Europe and Asia.
