BRIEF: 6 Hurt in CTA Bus Crash on West Side

Oct. 7–CHICAGO — Six people were injured, one critically, when a CTA bus went out of control and crashed into a fence Saturday night on Chicago’s West Side, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 9:35 p.m. on Roosevelt Road at Kolmar Avenue, CTA spokeswoman Wanda Taylor said. A No. 12 Roosevelt bus was going east when it crashed, she said.
Chicago Fire Department Chief Joe Roccasalva said one person was taken in critical condition to Mt. Sinai Hospital, while the other five victims were taken in serious condition to various hospitals.
