Midwest Airlines Adds Single-Trip Travel Insurance Option

October 10, 2007

MILWAUKEE, Oct. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Travelers flying Midwest Airlines can now purchase single-trip travel insurance through AIG Travel Guard, one of the nation’s leading providers of travel insurance plans.

The insurance is available as an option while a customer is completing an online ticket purchase on the Midwest Airlines Web site, http://www.midwestairlines.com/. It is also available directly through AIG Travel Guard for customers purchasing tickets through the Midwest Airlines Contact Center, travel agencies or other online booking sites.

The travel insurance policy, customized specifically for Midwest travelers, covers:

   — Trip Cancellation — Reimburses if a trip is cancelled due to illness, injury or death of the passenger, immediate family member or traveling companion. — Trip Interruption — Reimburses for the missed portion of a trip plus the ticket or change fee if a passenger must return home early due to illness, injury or death of the passenger, immediate family member or traveling companion. — Travel Delay — Reimburses for additional expenses if a trip is delayed more than 12 hours. — Baggage and Personal Effects — Reimburses if bags are lost, damaged or stolen during a trip. — Baggage Delay — Reimburses for the purchase of essential items if bags are delayed more than 24 hours.

Additionally, the plan includes AIG Travel Assist, which offers 24-hour emergency assistance anywhere in the world regarding medical needs, last-minute travel changes, lost luggage tracking, pre-trip travel advice and more.*

Travelers can purchase the insurance, which costs $10.95 per passenger per roundtrip, in conjunction with flights on Midwest Airlines or Midwest Connect, including flights that are part of a Midwest Airlines Vacations package.

“We’re continually seeking ways to improve our customers’ travel experience,” said Scott R. Dickson, Midwest Airlines senior vice president and chief marketing officer. “We believe passengers will appreciate the convenience of being able to purchase travel insurance with their airline ticket, as well as the peace of mind from knowing their travel investment is protected and that assistance will be available in the event of an emergency.”

“We’re thrilled to take Midwest Airlines’ best care in the air and to extend that customer care to even before the traveler boards the aircraft with the offer of travel insurance,” said Tom Zavadsky, AIG Travel Guard executive president. “Customers accustomed to Midwest’s award-winning service will receive the same level of service from AIG Travel Guard whether they’re looking for a medical provider or filing a claim.”
